Entering the Leadership in Passenger Transport Awards is an easy and straight forward process:

  • Read the description of the category below and what the judges are looking for. Some categories require certain information to be sent in the e-mail, which is not included in the word count.
  • Write an e-mail of between 300 and 500 words describing the person or organisation and why they should win.
  • Make the subject line the name of the category.
  • Attach three pictures of the person or something that illustrates your entry. Do not send long documents, media files or presentations.
  • Make sure that you include your contact details, including a telephone number, as we may need to contact you if we have a query.
  • Send the e-mail to enter@lipta.org.uk by 5pm on Friday 17th April.

You can enter as many times as you like. Entries cover the period from March 2025 until the closing date.

If very relevant to your entry, you can include links to a small number of videos or news stories on websites, but links to supporting documents or presentations will not be viewed. You may be contacted for additional information to assist the judging process.

In two categories – Team Management, that rewards a team, and Leadership Development that recognises an organisation – nominees can self nominate. All other categories reward  an individual, and as such, self nomination is not appropriate .

In each case you must confirm that the nominee has given their consent  to being entered and that they meet the category criteria. These are not included in the word count.

All nominees must have have worked in, or with, the industry for a continuous period of at least 12 months  prior to the closing date of 17th April 2026.

You will not be penalised for going slightly over the word count, but excessively long entries may be disqualified. In the few categories that require certain information to be sent in the e-mail, this is not included in the word count. We want to make this a ‘fast and easy’ entry process for all!
